Detecting abnormal signal during PDMS solution Daesan area monitoring

1. Overview and Progress

1) PDMS sensor monitoring
– Observation of the continuous occurrence of abnormality signals in the 2nd to 4th and 5th section of the 10 PDMS sensors installed in the pipeline of the Daesan section of Chungnam Province.
– The cause of the damage is judged to be the influence of the signal from the outside to the pipeline due to external contact or insulation failure.

2) PDMS analysis and report
– In order to analyze the signal input to the PDMS sensor, investigation of the input signal itself  by measuring equipment [Hosted by PPCO] – PDMS monitoring data and input signal analysis report reported to headquarters and branch offices of DOPCO on Wednesday, February 13.

3) Excavation of PDMS signal section
– Check the suspicious section after the probe from the branch office to the own equipment at the oil pipeline construction for abnormal signal section.
– Organized by DOPCO and excavated in the relevant section (March 22, 2019).

4) Recovery
– Excavation of the relevant section, confirmation of damaged part of coating and repair completion.
